Location: Erith
Salary: £54,000+ per year including scheduled Saturday working + additional overtime
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, daytime hours + alternate Saturday shifts

ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join a well-established commercial vehicle operation in Erith.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician looking for a permanent day-shift role with strong earning potential, regular enhanced-rate Saturday working and further overtime opportunities.
The position includes scheduled alternate Saturday shifts, which take expected annual earnings to approximately £54,000+, before any additional overtime.
You will be joining an established technical team responsible for maintaining HGVs, trucks and commercial vehicles to high safety, reliability and compliance standards, with ongoing technical training and development available.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across a commercial vehicle fleet.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Carrying out major and minor repairs to HGVs, trucks and commercial vehicles
- Completing routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying defects
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Identifying worn, damaged or faulty components
- Completing repairs in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards
- Working alongside other technicians to diagnose faults and determine appropriate repairs
- Completing job cards, inspection sheets and workshop documentation accurately
- Supporting breakdown or roadside repairs where required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
- Ensuring all work is completed to the required safety, quality and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this HGV Technician position, you will ideally have:
- Level 3 qualification in HGV / Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Experience carrying out servicing, inspections and mechanical repairs
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Understanding of DVSA vehicle maintenance and inspection standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to complete technical and workshop documentation accurately
- A professional and safety-conscious approach to vehicle maintenance
