This role will see you working any 5 over 7 on a night shift, where flexibility is required.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting into VMU Service Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and maintaining HGVs to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Handling breakdowns and reactive maintenance, ensuring first time fixes.
  • Following manufacturer guidelines to keep our fleet roadworthy and efficient.
  • Keeping accurate records of work completed.
  • Supporting the wider engineering team with any additional tasks.

What we're looking for

To be successful in your application you will hold an NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, have proven HGV technician or mechanical experience, skilled in diagnostic tools and fault finding and have a passion for all thinks Logistics!

Holding a Class 1 license would be desirable, however not essential, and we can support you in obtaining a Class 1 qualification.

Role Details

  • Salary: £22.02 per hour
  • Hours: 40-hours per week, working nights with any 5 over 7.
  • Location: Gist, First Avenue, Royal Portbury Dock, Bristol, BS20 7XR
