HGV Technician - Broxburn

Salary: Competitive + OVERTIME + BONUS + PLUS £3000 SIGNING ON BONUS!!

Shift Pattern:

Dayshift Hours Mon - Frid

  • Mon – Thurs 6am – 2.30pm
  • Friday 6am – 1.30pm

Backshift Hours Mon – Friday

  • Mon – Thurs 2pm -10.30pm
  • Friday 1pm -8.30pm

Saturday Shift is on a Rota 7am – Noon**1 shift every 4 weeks ***

YOU WILL HAVE:

  • A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
  • Previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Our Technicians are responsible carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks. Fault finding, carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems etc.
  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process
  • Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns.
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
  • Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
  • Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
  • Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
