Operating from five depots in Leeds, Barnsley, Sherburn, Manchester, and Bristol, the company has more than 2,000 vehicles in service across the UK. LC Vehicle Hire focuses on delivering tailored services, high standards of vehicle maintenance, and competitive operating margins to support long-term customer relationships. In addition to short and long-term hire, the company offers retail sales of its own high-specification, well-maintained fleet, each vehicle refurbished and sold with full service history and warranty. The dedicated sales and operations teams aim to provide a professional, reliable service that encourages repeat business.

Role Description

The HGV Technician will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing a range of heavy goods vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Day-to-day tasks include carrying out scheduled maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, performing MOT preparations, and completing repair work efficiently and accurately. The role also involves maintaining detailed service records, working closely with the workshop team and service advisors, and supporting rapid turnaround of vehicles for hire and sale. The HGV Technician is expected to follow company procedures, use diagnostic equipment effectively, and contribute to a clean, safe, and well-organized workshop environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
