About the Role
Lead the team that keeps Britain moving
RH Commercial Vehicles is seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to help lead our newly redeveloped workshop.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking to step into leadership, or an established Workshop Supervisor seeking a new challenge with one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle dealer groups.
You’ll play a key role in driving workshop performance, supporting and developing technicians, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service every time. Our technicians are the beating heart of our business, and we’re looking for a leader who can inspire a high-performing team.
Shift Patterns
- From 45 Hours a week, with overtime available
- Early Shift: Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 15:30, Friday: 06:00 – 14:30
- Late Shift: Monday – Thursday: 12:30 – 22:00, Friday: 12:30 – 21:00, Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00 (Saturday at overtime)

Responsibilities
As Workshop Supervisor, You Will
- Support the day-to-day running of a busy commercial vehicle workshop
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of HGV Technicians and apprentices
- Monitor productivity, efficiency and job progress
- Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and manufacturer standards
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex repairs and diagnostics
- Promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the workshop
- Support training, mentoring and technician development
- Work closely with the workshop controller and management team to achieve workshop targets
- Help drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar
- Strong technical and diagnostic skills
- Previous leadership, supervisor or mentoring experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to motivate, coach and develop others
- Commitment to delivering high standards of quality customer service
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- Renault Trucks or Isuzu Trucks experience
- Main dealer experience
- Experience supporting apprentices and junior technicians
