Job Description
An excellent opportunity has become available for two experienced HGV Technicians to join a well-established fleet workshop based in Walton-on-Thames.
You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across a varied heavy commercial vehicle fleet.
This is a strong opportunity for experienced HGV Technicians looking for a competitive basic salary, additional earning potential, and a stable long-term position within a professional workshop environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Completing scheduled vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Identifying worn or defective components
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
- Completing workshop documentation and maintenance records accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to required standards
- Supporting the wider workshop team to maintain vehicle availability
- Keeping tools, equipment, and workshop areas safe and organized

Desired Skills And Experience
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, Heavy Vehicle Technician, or HGV Mechanic
- Strong servicing, maintenance, and diagnostic experience
- Good knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle inspection procedures
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working within a fleet, dealership, municipal, or commercial vehicle workshop would be advantageous.
HOURS AND PACKAGE
Standard working hours are 07:00 – 17:00.
The basic salary is up to £53.5k per annum depending on experience.
Additional morning shifts and weekend work are available, offering further earning potential.
