HGV Trailer Technician, up to £50,000, 4-day week, Bedfordshire

Salary up to £50,000 (DOE) + profit share bonus + Vitality healthcare + 31 days holiday + ongoing training.

Twilight Shift:

  • Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am.
    So, 4-day week!

This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Trailer Technician, HGV Mechanic or Vehicle Technician to join a growing and successful commercial vehicle business. You'll be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining a fleet of commercial trailers, working alongside an experienced team in a well-equipped workshop.

Whether you're already an experienced Trailer Technician or have transferable experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery or plant equipment, this business will invest in your ongoing training and development.

Your background as an HGV Trailer Technician:

  • Previous experience as an HGV Trailer Technician, HGV Mechanic, Vehicle Technician or maintaining commercial vehicles, agricultural or industrial machinery.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail and a positive team attitude.
  • You will ideally hold a relevant level 3 qualification.

HGV Trailer Technician Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out major and minor repairs on specialist trailers and commercial vehicle equipment.
  • Servicing, maintaining and inspecting trailers across a range of makes and models.
  • Completing preventative maintenance activities, inspections and safety checks.
  • Carrying out welding and fabrication work where required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of repairs, inspections and vehicle history.
  • Completing relevant paperwork, documentation and supporting warranty claims where required.

This HGV Trailer Technician role is commutable from Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Towcester, Northampton, Bedford & surrounding areas.
