The business offers the full range of new and used Mercedes-Benz vans, including all-electric models, alongside a comprehensive portfolio of trucks such as Atego, Actros, Arocs, Econic, and FUSO Canter. The company focuses on delivering high standards of customer service across Northumberland, Tyneside, and Teesside, supporting customers with sales, servicing, repairs, and trade parts.
Bell Truck Sales Ltd operates as an appointed representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to act as a credit broker and insurance distribution agent. This structure allows the team to provide tailored finance and insurance solutions that support business customers in running and expanding their fleets.
Role Description
This full-time, on-site HGV Truck Sales Executive role is based at the Billingham dealership. The role involves proactively generating new business and managing existing customer relationships across the region, focusing on the sale of new and used Mercedes-Benz trucks and associated products.

Daily activities include:

- Identifying and qualifying sales leads
- Conducting customer visits and vehicle demonstrations
- Preparing and presenting tailored quotations and finance proposals
- Negotiating terms to achieve profitable sales
The Sales Executive will coordinate closely with the aftersales, finance, and administration teams to ensure smooth order processing, timely vehicle delivery, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The role also includes maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, staying up to date with product developments and market trends, and representing the brand at industry events and customer meetings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial vehicle or HGV truck sales, or a strong background in B2B field sales within the automotive or transport sector.
- Demonstrated skills in business development, lead generation, and account management, with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Competence in consultative selling, needs analysis, and solution-based presentations, including the ability to explain technical features and benefits clearly.
- Strong negotiation, closing, and objection-handling skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Good understanding of vehicle finance, leasing, and insurance products, and the ability to work within FCA and company compliance guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confident face-to-face, telephone, and written communication with diverse customer groups.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including CRM usage, pipeline management, and accurate documentation of sales activity.
- Comfortable working on-site and in the field, with a flexible approach.
