About The Role
The HGV Valeter position in Stoke-on-Trent involves preparing commercial vehicles to a high standard for sale and export. Working full-time for Pertemps Stoke on Trent, you will handle thorough cleaning, polishing, and presentation duties to ready trucks for photography and client inspections. The role suits someone with prior valeting or vehicle preparation experience who demonstrates reliability and attention to detail. A salary of £26,500 per annum is offered. You will receive ongoing training and support within the logistics sector. Daily tasks include interior and exterior detailing, removing dirt and residue, and ensuring each vehicle meets strict presentation guidelines before handover.

The Role
As an HGV Valeter, you will play a key role in preparing our vehicles to the highest standards before they are marketed and sold. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will ensure all vehicles are cleaned, presented professionally, and ready for photography and customer viewings.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and valet the interior and exterior of HGVs and commercial vehicles to a high standard.
- Operate pressure washing equipment to clean vehicles effectively (experience preferred but training can be provided).
- Work outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions, with appropriate PPE and waterproof clothing provided.
- Ensure vehicles are fully prepared and presented before being photographed for sale.
- Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Keep the wash bay and surrounding work areas clean, organised, and safe.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and guidelines.
- Work efficiently to meet preparation targets and business deadlines.

About You
We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual who takes pride in delivering quality work. You will be self-motivated, able to work well under pressure, and committed to maintaining high standards in everything you do.
Essential Requirements
- Previous valeting or vehicle preparation experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively towards deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Desirable
- Experience using pressure washing equipment.
- Experience working with HGVs, commercial vehicles, or large fleet vehicles.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am to 5:30pm
