Company: John Sutch Cranes

Location: Liverpool or Manchester

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Contact: 0151 236 8880

About Us

With over 37+ years in heavy lifting and specialist transport, John Sutch Cranes is one of the North West's most trusted names in the industry. Operating from depots in Liverpool and Manchester and working nationwide, we support construction, infrastructure and high-profile projects with a modern fleet and experienced teams. As the business grows, we are expanding our transport division and need a skilled Hiab driver to grow with it.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hiab driver to carry out deliveries and collections for our customers across the North West and further afield. You will be the face of John Sutch Cranes on customers' sites, collecting, transporting and offloading materials, plant and equipment with a lorry-mounted crane – often into tight, live construction environments where the offload is as important as the drive. Every lift must be planned, secured and executed safely, and every customer should come away wanting to book us again.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
