An Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior physiotherapist to join our Mental Health services at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.
About the Role
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to work at the forefront of specialist mental health physiotherapy, providing expert clinical input and leadership across Phoenix High Dependency Rehabilitation and Rotherham Acute Mental Health Ward. This will be 2.5 days at Phoenix High Dependency Rehab Unit and 1.9 days on the Rotherham Care Group Acute wards at Swollownest court.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex physiotherapy problems as an autonomous practitioner for adults with mental health problems.
- Manage a defined caseload using evidence-based/client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions and record all interventions.
- Provide clinical education and training.
- Provide physiotherapy clinical input within the HDU Mental Health Team working as a member of the multi-professional team.
- Complete home visits and outreach work to enable safe and timely discharge.
- Be responsible for providing information to the Clinical Lead Mental Health Physiotherapist and the HDU Team Manager as needed.
