Role Overview

Vigilant Security are offering an exciting opportunity for a professional and motivated Security Officer to join our expanding team, working with a prestigious client at a high-profile estate and business park in Reading.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to pre-planned or significant events and to provide an initial first response to any such events.
  • Identifying suspicious, criminal events and ensuring an effective guarding response.
  • Be fully conversant with emergency evacuation/controlled movement, internally to a place of safety procedures at all the locations you monitor.
  • Maintain complete and concise, detailed, and accurate written accounts of all incidents occurring within the duty shift and undertake any necessary follow-up action as required.
  • Work in partnership with the FOH team, ensuring all aspects of site security and all site related Health & Safety requirements are effectively managed.
  • Patrol the site to prevent fire, flood, theft, and damage to property.
  • Provide details of the incidents to the Control Room for the purposes of incident reporting.
  • Manage and care for the vehicles.
  • Any additional reasonable duties requested by operational management.

What We Are Looking For

  • Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player
  • Smart and confident with a physical presence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Immaculate presentation
  • Clear, concise and confident communication skills which are customer service orientated with a very keen eye for detail.
  • Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all times
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education.
  • Provide support to the wider team when required.
  • Current SIA DS license.
  • Full UK driver's license
