High Jewellery Sales Director – Mayfair Boutique

Luxury Recruit has been appointed to conduct a confidential search for a prestigious international high-jewellery house seeking an exceptional High Jewellery Sales Director for its Mayfair boutique.

This is a rare, boutique-based appointment for an established high-jewellery sales professional operating at Grand Vendeur / Grande Vendeuse level. The successful individual will be an accomplished private-client relationship builder with the credibility, discretion and commercial confidence to present and sell important jewels, rare gemstones and one-of-a-kind creations to an international UHNW clientele.

This is not a conventional Sales Associate, Client Advisor or operations-led Boutique Manager position. It is a personally productive, client-facing sales role requiring demonstrable experience in originating and closing substantial high-jewellery transactions, including individual sales valued at £100,000 and above, with exposure to £1 million-plus pieces.

The appointment

Based within the Mayfair boutique, you will develop established and new private-client relationships while delivering an exceptionally personal and discreet service.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Personally originating, developing and closing significant high-jewellery sales.
  • Presenting exceptional diamonds, rare coloured gemstones and one-of-a-kind creations.
  • Building trusted, long-term relationships with UK and international UHNW clients.
  • Re-engaging established relationships and introducing qualified new clientele.
  • Creating opportunities through referrals, private appointments, intimate events and international exhibitions.
  • Travelling internationally when required to serve important clients and commercial opportunities.
  • Maintaining a disciplined private-client pipeline and delivering meticulous follow-up.
  • Acting as a senior commercial presence within the boutique while remaining directly accountable for personal sales production.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to match clients with appropriate jewels and bespoke opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The person

We are seeking a highly accomplished high-jewellery seller with:

  • Substantial experience within a primary-market high-jewellery boutique, salon or private-client showroom.
  • A verified history of personally presenting and closing jewels valued at £500,000 and above, including exposure to £1 million-plus transactions.
  • A demonstrable multi-million-pound personal sales history.
  • The ability to distinguish personally originated revenue from wider team or boutique turnover.
  • An established UHNW network and genuine relationship equity capable of generating future introductions and business.
  • Deep knowledge of important diamonds, coloured gemstones, exceptional craftsmanship and bespoke commissions.
  • Impeccable personal presentation, spoken English, discretion and cultural intelligence.
  • The confidence and authority to advise sophisticated international collectors.
  • Excellent professional references and an established reputation for integrity.

Career stability is particularly important. Candidates should ideally demonstrate tenure of four to five years or longer with at least one relevant high-jewellery house. Career moves must show credible progression, increased client responsibility or a clear commercial rationale rather than a pattern of frequent short appointments.

We are particularly interested in professionals developed within internationally respected high-jewellery maisons, specialist jewellers and elite boutique environments.

Candidates from larger luxury groups will be considered only where they have operated at genuine High Jewellery Sales Director, Grand Vendeur / Grande Vendeuse, International VIP Director, Elite Client Director or equivalent private-client leadership level. Employer prestige alone will not be sufficient; clear evidence of personal high-jewellery sales performance is essential.

This role is not suited to candidates whose experience is principally in wholesale jewellery, loose-diamond trading, auction consignment, valuation, antique or secondary-market jewellery, conventional fine-jewellery retail, or boutique operations without substantial personal sales production.

Client relationships and confidentiality

A strong and transferable UHNW network is highly desirable. Transferability means the candidate’s personal reputation, relationship equity and lawful ability to generate introductions and future business. It does not mean removing, copying or using confidential CRM records, client lists or proprietary information belonging to a current or former employer.

Package

A competitive six-figure base salary is offered together with an attractive performance commission structure.

This is a permanent, full-time and boutique-based appointment in Mayfair, London. Applicants must already possess unrestricted permission to work in the United Kingdom. Employer sponsorship is not available.

All applications and conversations will be handled in the strictest confidence. No candidate will be introduced to the client without prior discussion and express agreement. CV's can also be sent to info@luxuryrecruit.com

Luxury Recruit acts as an employment agency in relation to this permanent appointment.
