Salary: £31,022 per annum, pro rata (Grade 4, point 33 / £16.08 per hour)
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: Temporary, in the first instance, required from October 2026 or soon thereafter

About the Role
Ixworth Church of England Primary School is seeking an outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our warm, caring and dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engaging, committed and motivated HLTA to join our successful, forward-thinking school community. As our school continues to grow, including welcoming an additional class from September, we are expanding our support team and are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children to thrive.
We are passionate about ensuring that every child reaches their full potential, whilst nurturing a lifelong love of learning and curiosity about the world around them. Guided by our vision ‘On a journey together where learning has no limits’ We provide a rich curriculum and a wide range of experiences designed to inspire, empower and help every pupil to flourish.
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience of working with children across the primary age range
- has experience of teaching whole classes and small groups
- is flexible and can use their own initiative
- can work independently and as part of a team
- is willing to undertake a range of duties
- is resilient, hardworking and self-motivated
- manages change well and can support pupils in a variety of situations
- has high expectations of children’s behaviour and achievement
- has excellent English and mathematics skills
- communicates well with teaching staff, pupils and families
- has a good sense of humour!
