Credit Investment Analyst

An established investment platform is seeking a Credit Investment Analyst to join its broader credit-focused team. The role offers exposure across corporate debt markets, with a particular emphasis on identifying relative value, event-driven opportunities, and complex credit situations across both liquid and less liquid securities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed fundamental analysis across a broad universe of corporate issuers, spanning high yield, distressed, and special situations opportunities.
  • Monitor market developments, earnings releases, economic data, and company-specific events, providing timely investment views and recommendations.
  • Generate and develop actionable trade ideas in partnership with portfolio managers, traders, and research professionals across multiple asset classes.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate credit quality, downside risk, capital structure dynamics, and catalyst-driven opportunities.
  • Analyse potential long and short investment opportunities by incorporating both company fundamentals and broader macroeconomic themes.

Candidate Profile

  • 4+ years of experience within credit research, fixed income investing or leveraged finance.
  • CFA qualification or progress toward completion is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex capital structures.
  • Demonstrated interest in global markets, economic developments, and geopolitical trends affecting credit assets.
  • Comfortable making decisions and forming views in fast-moving market environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate investment ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Prior experience within an event-driven, special situations, distressed debt, or opportunistic credit strategy would be beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
