Higher Education Operations Officer

Location negotiable across NSW (subject to campus availability)

Salary package $114,301 - $123,092 includes base salary $100,704 - $108,449, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

The Higher Education Operations Officer plays a key role in supporting the statewide coordination and continuous improvement of Higher Education delivery across TAFE NSW. Working within the Learning and Teaching Group, you will collaborate closely with educational leaders and delivery teams to support high-quality learning, teaching and governance practices that contribute to exceptional student outcomes.

This role is responsible for coordinating a variety of operational and administrative activities that underpin Higher Education programs, including scheduling, governance support, report preparation, meeting coordination, quality assurance processes, and the management of learning and assessment resources. You will also contribute to the collection and analysis of educational data, quality indicators, and reporting to support informed decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Working across a diverse stakeholder network, you will build strong relationships with educational leaders, teachers, and delivery teams to support consistent program delivery across the state. The role requires a proactive and solutions-focused professional who can balance competing priorities, apply sound judgment, and contribute to maintaining compliance with Higher Education governance, quality, and regulatory requirements.

About you

You are an experienced and highly organised administration professional with a strong background in educational operations, program coordination, or higher education administration. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by opportunities to improve processes, analyse information, and support quality educational outcomes.

You have exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, enabling you to build productive working relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders. You are comfortable collaborating with educational leaders and delivery teams, providing operational support, coordinating activities, and contributing information that supports effective planning and decision making.

Your analytical mindset and attention to detail allow you to work confidently with data, reporting, and quality assurance processes while maintaining accuracy and compliance. You are able to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and use technology effectively to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Most importantly, you are customer focused, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality services that support student success and strengthen TAFE NSW's Higher Education offerings. You bring demonstrated experience in educational administration and relevant qualifications, skills, or experience that enable you to contribute effectively in a complex and evolving education environment.
