About The Role
The Education Network Durham & Newcastle seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a full-time post in Newcastle upon Tyne, paying £120 daily. Based in North Tyneside, the Progress Lead provides one-to-one and small group support, assists with learning activities inside and outside class, and helps pupils with special educational needs. Applicants must hold HLTA status, possess recent experience with young people, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities. A current enhanced DBS certificate is required, or willingness to obtain one through the agency. Progress Lead / Higher Level Teaching Assistant - North Tyneside
We are working with a school in the North Tyneside area that are seeking a Progress Lead / HLTA to join their team as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students
- Assisting with learning activities in and outside the classroom
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties
- Encouraging engagement and confidence in learning

- Experience working with young people within the past 2 years
- Must be a qualified HLTA
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for education and student development
- Fully enhanced DBS or a willingness to apply for one via ourselves
