Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Greenwich
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Salary: £100–£120 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start Date: 8 September 2026
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take on greater classroom responsibility? Transparency Education is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a full-time primary opportunity in Greenwich.
You will play an important role in supporting teaching across the school, making this particularly suitable for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable working with different pupils and year groups.
Responsibilities
Your role may include:
- Leading lessons using teacher-prepared plans.
- Providing class cover when required.
- Delivering focused interventions.
- Supporting pupils who require additional academic support.
- Working alongside teachers to raise pupil attainment.
- Maintaining effective classroom routines and behaviour.
- Feeding back on learning and pupil engagement.
- Supporting the wider organisation of classroom provision.

Candidate requirements
We would like to hear from applicants with:
- Significant UK primary school experience.
- HLTA status, relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Confidence leading learning independently.
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- A flexible approach to working across year groups.
