We currently have the following staff vacancies:
Grade 4 HLTA (Permanent)
Grade 4 HLTA (Maternity Leave)
Salary
£30,178 to £36,608 + SEN allowance
actual salary, term time only, 33.5 hours per week
We are seeking to appoint a skilled, committed, and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff to support teaching and learning across the school, including planning and leading learning activities, delivering planned interventions, and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This role requires initiative, flexibility, and a strong understanding of how children learn and develop.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering learning activities to individuals, small groups, and classes under the direction of teaching staff
- Supporting the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities
- Leading structured interventions to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Supporting pupils with SEND to access learning and make progress
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and well-organised learning environment
- Liaising effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- HLTA status or a willingness to work towards it
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A calm, professional, and flexible approach
- Experience of working with children, ideally within a SEND or specialist setting
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

This is a 33.5 hours per week, term-time only position and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to further develop their skills within a school committed to high standards of care, teamwork, and inclusion.

Therefore, the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
