- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Long-term position
- Lead classes and deliver pre-planned lessons
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Support pupils academically and pastorally

The HLTA Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.
This position offers considerably more responsibility than a traditional Teaching Assistant role. You will be trusted to lead learning activities, deliver interventions and provide classroom cover when required.
Your responsibilities could include:
- Leading classes using teacher-prepared resources
- Delivering targeted Maths and English interventions
- Working with individuals and small groups
- Supporting pupils with SEN and EHCPs
- Providing cover when teachers are unavailable
- Supporting behaviour and classroom management
- Helping teachers monitor pupil progress
- Delivering catch-up and booster sessions
- Mentoring pupils requiring additional support
- Supporting less experienced Teaching Assistants
- Contributing to school enrichment and extracurricular activities

An HLTA qualification or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous, although schools may consider candidates with substantial classroom experience who can demonstrate the ability to operate at HLTA level.
You should be confident, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for groups of pupils.
