Trimley St Mary Primary School is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our caring team, to work with children across the primary age range, providing class-based support to teaching staff. You will be allocated a role within a phase group and will become an integral member of the team.

This position requires you to complement the teachers’ implementation of the national and school’s own policies and strategies. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and provide PPA cover and release to certain year groups. Also, to supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers.

This position will require you to work with pupils across the year group on a one-to-one or small group basis, carrying out interventions, activities, and tasks planned within our exciting curriculum offer. You will also be supporting children’s social and emotional development by implementing personalized programmes, providing pastoral care, guidance, and supervision.
