Salary: £25,828.00 annually (FTE £34,448); Working weeks 39 - paid for 44.45 weeks

Are you a skilled, confident Practitioner who makes learning irresistible for children? Our client has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Their school sits in a village setting beside 6 Acre Wood. They serve Nursery to Year 6 as one primary school, made up of their Infant and Junior academies. They hold the IQM Inclusive School Award, and their values of Enjoy, Aspire, Explore, Respect, Believe and Community shape everything they do.
The Role
As an HLTA, you will work alongside Teachers and take responsibility for agreed learning activities. You will:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning activities for whole classes, small groups and individual pupils.
- Cover classes during PPA time and Teacher absence, so that learning stays consistent and continuous.
- Provide targeted support and interventions that help pupils become confident, independent learners.
- Monitor, assess, record and report on pupils' progress and development.
- Work with Teachers and their SEND team to plan and deliver individual support for pupils with special educational needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Support positive behaviour and help keep the classroom a calm, focused and inclusive place to learn.
- Build positive, professional relationships with pupils, parents and carers.

About You
Our client would love to hear from you if you:
- Are passionate about education and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
- Have experience of working with children across the primary curriculum, including pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent).
- Hold HLTA status or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), or are willing to work towards HLTA status.
- Are confident leading a class and adapt your approach to meet children's individual needs.
- Are enthusiastic, well organised, self-motivated and trustworthy.
- Communicate well and maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Are committed to developing your own practice.
