Echocardiographer Opportunity in Tayside
This post is an exciting opportunity for an accredited Echocardiographer to join the Tayside team at Ninewells Hospital and Perth Royal Infirmary. Tayside is a beautiful area situated on the east coast of Scotland and is close to the other major Scottish cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen. It is a fantastic area to live and work. Integrated into the Ninewells Hospital site is the University of Dundee, which has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.
About the Department
Our busy Cardiac Physiology departments, staffed by a friendly and committed team, provide a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology investigations. These include:
- Coronary Angiography
- Primary PCI using up-to-date techniques
- ICD, CRT, and Pacemaker implantation and follow-up
- Physiologist-led loop implantation service
- Electrophysiology
- Echocardiography
- Physiologist-led stress testing including RACP and Chest Pain Clinics
- A variety of ambulatory monitoring techniques
- Routine ECG service
Role Description
This post is for an experienced echocardiographer who will be working predominantly in performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiography, with the opportunity to perform transoesophageal echocardiography. Both of these will use the very latest ultrasound technology, for example, strain analysis, 4D imaging, and exercise/pharmacological stress echo.

Qualifications and Experience
Suitable candidates must possess a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent and must be AHCS registered or equivalent. Candidates must hold BSE accreditation or equivalent and have gained post-qualification experience with the ability to work autonomously and train and develop others, including Specialist Registrars.
You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.

- 36 hours per week, Monday – Friday
