The Role
Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist (Echocardiography) and play a key role in delivering expert cardiac diagnostics and outstanding patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work within a forward-thinking cardiology service, supporting patients across a wide range of clinical settings. As a senior member of the team, you will lead specialist echocardiography services, contribute to service development and support the growth of colleagues through training and mentorship. Working within Scotland's largest health board, you will benefit from a collaborative environment, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- Location: Royal Alexandra Hospital
- Shift pattern: To be confirmed
- Position: Permanent, full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and independently report complex echocardiograms to support accurate diagnosis and patient management
- Support the day-to-day management and delivery of the echocardiography service
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and training for junior physiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Assist with specialist investigations including transoesophageal, stress and contrast echocardiography
- Contribute to clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives and implementation of professional standards
- Ensure the effective management of equipment, resources and departmental processes
- Deputise for the Cardiac Physiology Service Manager and support operational service delivery when required

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and/or Experience Required to Do the Job:
- BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification
- Adult BSE Accreditation in Echocardiography or equivalent recognised accreditation
- Registration with RCCP or accepted onto the voluntary register for state registration
- Significant experience performing and reporting echocardiograms independently
- Broad experience across adult cardiac investigations in a clinical environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to education, service improvement and delivering high-quality patient-centred care
