CAMHS ADHD Nurse Prescriber
We are seeking to recruit a CAMHS ADHD Nurse Prescriber with excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in working with neurodivergent children and their families.
Job Overview
This is a 24-month fixed term post, within the Lewisham CAMHS ADHD treatment team, to provide leadership and management support to the ADHD medication review team to ensure access and flow are prioritised while maintaining own caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management Support: Provide leadership and management support to the ADHD medication review team to ensure access and flow are prioritised while maintaining own caseload.
- Caseload Management: Manage a caseload, providing the analysis of complex information to determine the planning and management of assessment and treatment to C&YP with ADHD and co-occurring neurodiverse/mental health difficulties.
- Assessments and Treatment: Undertake assessments, including ADHD assessments, and provide psychoeducation information sessions/groups.
- Expertise and Consultation: Provide expertise in this highly specialist clinical area and offer advice and consultation on clients care to other members of the service. Offer training in assessment and interventions for CYP with ADHD to CAMHS and other professional networks.
- Liaison and Collaboration: Liaise with medical colleagues, partner agencies, and adult mental health professionals across a range of settings.
- Professional Practice: Work autonomously within professional practice guidelines and Trust guidelines.
- Policy and Service Development: Contribute to policy and service development, undertake research, service evaluation and audit for own team and contribute to the training of the clinical team and others.
- Teamwork: Work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

About Lewisham CAMHS
Lewisham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are across three main locations and provide multidisciplinary assessment, diagnostic, treatment, advisory, and consultative service for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties, in particular those with moderate to severe mental health presentations.

About the ADHD Team
The ADHD Team is a small but efficient team based within Lewisham CAMHS providing ADHD medication reviews to children and young people up to the age of 18, and supporting other teams with ADHD medication titration and providing psychoeducation groups. The team works closely with other teams within Lewisham CAMHS.
Location
This post is clinically based at Kaleidoscope Centre in Catford, a short walk from Catford train stations or Ladywell station.
