Working Arrangements
Part-time and flexible working proposals will be considered. Compressed hours, job sharing, full or part-time working are open to discussion. No on-call commitment, but rotation to the CDC hub at Ripon is expected.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly specialized Echocardiographer to join our busy Cardiology service, which offers a wide range of investigations including physiologist-led Stress echo, valve clinic, and contrast.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform ultrasound scans on a range of outpatients and inpatients, including adult congenital heart disease patients (ACHD), recording and interpreting images obtain
- Work to British Society of Echocardiography standards, and adhere to all protocols and guidelines of the society
- Vetting and triage of report
- Monitor wait times and alert service managers to issues in a timely manner
- Partaking in the team quality control of reports and images
- Formulate detailed Echo reports to be personally verified and issued to consultants
- Undertake clinical supervision and training of junior and trainee physiology staff and other professional group
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development and other developmental activities, including research and clinical trial
- Work with Team Leaders and the Service Manager in further developing the clinical physiology service
- Maintain professional registration at all times
- Be responsible for the care and maintenance of the ultrasound equipment.
