Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a 7.5 hours per week, Band 7 Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist at The Haslemere Proactive Care Hub (PACH) launched by The Royal Surrey County Hospital. The role will focus on leading the non-invasive diagnostics service delivered from PACH.

About PACH

PACH is a newly established facility at Haslemere Hospital, focusing on delivering community-based care for chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, kidney issues, and diabetes—to help patients live well locally.

Cardiology Department

The Cardiology department at The Royal Surrey County Hospital provides a full invasive and non-invasive service to the local community. Services include specialist and routine echocardiography, Cardiac Catheterisation, implantation of simple and complex devices as well as a routine electrophysiology service.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Cardiac Physiology service at Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Support the team of Cardiac Physiologists in developing their professional skills and enable them to maximize their performance.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Cardiology diagnostic service delivered from the Haslemere Proactive Care Hub (PACH).

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in general Cardiology and Cardiac Rhythm Management.
  • Mandatory RCCP registration.
  • Highly desirable IBHRE / HRUK qualification.
