Part-time Band 7 ND Practitioner
We are looking to recruit a part-time Band 7 ND Practitioner to join our Paediatric Neurodiversity Assessment Service.
Applicants will be SLTs, OTs or MH/LD/Paediatric Nurses with significant clinical experience in working with and supporting children and young people with neurodivergent profiles and their families, and experience in contributing to/leading on the neurodiversity assessment and diagnostic process.
We have strong links with our partners in education, social care and the third sector and as a whole system we are committed to altering the narrative around reliance on ND diagnoses, and exploring new and innovative ways of working with a focus on impact and outcomes.
You will join a team of SLTs, Paediatric/Mental Health Nurses, an OT, a Pharmacist, a HCSW, Paediatricians and Psychiatrists. Operational management will be provided by the AHP lead and professional supervision will be provided as appropriate from your relevant specialty.
Being trained to undertake ADOS assessments is desirable but not essential as this training will be funded if needed. Nurses joining us with an interest in undertaking their nurse prescribing qualification would also be welcomed and funding would be considered to pursue this.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
