Occupational Therapist - Fixed-Term Maternity Leave Cover

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide fixed-term maternity leave cover in our Trust wide Intensive Support Team.

The team works with care homes to deliver highly specialised assessments and interventions for people with dementia experiencing distress and behaviours that challenge. Applicants must have a genuine passion for supporting people living with dementia, alongside a strong commitment to the principles of Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Joining a friendly, supportive team
    • Receiving regular clinical, management, and professional supervision from a senior Clinical Psychologist and Occupational Therapist
    • Monthly team meetings to share learning and experience, champion the rights of older people, and help shape local services
    • Providing highly specialist assessments and interventions for people living in care homes who present with complexity and behaviours expressing unmet needs
    • Undertaking comprehensive risk assessments and developing effective risk management plans
    • Contributing to multidisciplinary meetings and providing consultation, supervision, and training to CMHT colleagues delivering psychosocial assessments and interventions for people with dementia living in care homes

For international travel, both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are nearby.
