About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated podiatrist, who is passionate about their profession and enjoys making a difference to people’s lives. You will be expected to work at an advanced level and should aspire to lead, educate and develop others in the team.
Key Requirements
- Currently working at band 6.
- At least five years' NHS experience.
- Confidence in all aspects of podiatry care and team working.
- Ability to lead by example and inspire the team to work effectively and achieve good outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality podiatric care for people at risk of developing serious foot health complications.
- Emphasis on diabetes foot protection as the population we serve has a very high incidence of diabetes.
- Work with a friendly peer group of experienced clinicians committed to providing excellent clinical care, which is patient centred and compassionate.
- Collaborate with district nursing teams, tissue viability nurses, and local integrated teams, as well as linking with the wider MDT and PCN networks.
- Direct pathway into the Diabetic Foot Clinic at West Middlesex University Hospital.

Working Conditions
- Work from well-equipped clinic sites delivering care close to home.
- Assess, diagnose, and provide high quality podiatric care to people with complex foot health needs and lower limbs that are at risk.
- Emphasis on diabetes foot protection due to the high incidence of diabetes in the population we serve.
- Responsible for agreeing care plans with patients that support self-management and optimise foot health, in line with service priorities, and managing complex patients at an advanced level.
- Required to visit housebound patients in their own homes, so must be able to drive and have access to a car.

- Responsible for managing other people’s workload.
- Excellent teamworking and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse patient population and various other health care teams and stakeholders.
