We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to develop the role of SALT within Mental Health Services for Older People.
We have an established AHP leadership team visible across the trust and are looking to collaborate to improve access to SALT.
To provide a highly specialised Speech and Language Therapy service to our older adult services who present with complex communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
To lead on assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of communication and dysphagia needs within Older Adults services working collaboratively with service users, carers and the multidisciplinary team to promote quality of life, safety, participation and person-centred care. The role will be integrated within the therapy team across Older Adults and will work with the team to develop person-centred care plans.

The role will be integrated within the therapy team that is part of EMDASS and will work with the team to develop person-centred care plans.
