Highways Operative
Salary: Competitive

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain vehicles, including HGVs and small plant machinery, ensuring all checks and routing maintenance are completed.
- Engage in construction and highways maintenance works, contributing your expertise to various projects.
- Participate in winter and summer standby duties, including emergency callouts.
- Maintain accurate records of Drivers' hours and relevant paperwork as required.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Possess and maintain important qualifications including a valid HGV license (Class 2 preferred) and Drivers CPC card, as well as an NRSWA card.

Ideal Candidate:
- Holds an NRSWA card and other relevant qualifications such as 12D RTM Operative (Mod1/2), Emergency First Aid, and Manual Handling.
- Demonstrates a strong 'work safe, home safe' mentality, prioritising Health and Safety in all tasks.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Is self-motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Shows initiative to challenge existing practices and suggests improvements for efficiency.
