Highways Operative
Business Unit: 5230 - Hounslow
Location: Hounslow
Summary
To deliver a wide range of routine and cyclical Highways Maintenance work.
Type of maintenance work you will be involved in but not limited to:
- Asphalt footway and carriageway patching
- Street furniture defects
- Street lighting
- Drainage
- Drainage and winter maintenance
To respond to emergencies, daytime and out of hours call outs on a rota basis.
Adhering to company procedures with regards to Health and Safety.
Delivering projects within defined time and financial target.
Desirable Skills
- HGV Licence
- Drivers CPC
- Street Lighting Qualifications
Specialist Skills
- NRSWA Operative
- Lantra TM 12D
- Banksman
- Manual Handling
- Current Driving Licence
- Safe dig
- Emergency First Aid
General Competencies
- To understand Risk Assessment and apply safe systems of working.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Able to complete record sheets, paper and electronically.
- Team player and prepared to contribute and participate with others.
- Able to carry out basic safety, quality and environment audits and risk assessment.
