Your new company
A leading civil engineering contractor has secured a major highways infrastructure project in the Milton Keynes area and is looking to appoint a Sub Agent to support delivery from the outset. This is a long-term contract opportunity on a significant civil engineering scheme with a strong pipeline of future works.
Your new role
As Sub Agent, you will report directly to the Project Manager and take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of sections of work on site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site teams, including Foremen, supervisors and subcontractors
- Planning and coordinating daily construction activities
- Monitoring programme, quality and productivity targets
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with specifications
- Assisting with short-term planning and progress reporting
- Liaising with engineers, commercial teams and site management
- Supporting delivery of highways and civil engineering works from project commencement

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Sub Agent, Site Agent or experienced Section Engineer looking to step up
- Strong civil engineering or highways background
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- Knowledge of health, safety and quality standards
- SMSTS and CSCS qualifications
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project delivery team
