Job Introduction
The Hire Administrator is an integral function within the hire desk team handling all administrative actions created by activities including third party enquiries and order processing. Efficient and timely handling of these duties assists in our aim of providing a first-class service to our customers. The role provides essential support to the wider Harrogate office team to ensure greater focus is applied to inbound call handling and business planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate and proper completion of all third party supplier paperwork and liaise with the customers and suppliers to obtain any missing information/paperwork/costs
- First point of call for inbound ZenDesk enquiry inbox
- Provide operational management with all enquiries from customers and raise any purchase orders where required
- Support the Harrogate controllers with the completion of all chargeable/non-chargeable orders.
- Process orders when supplied with all required information from the Harrogate based controllers
- Process CIs when applicable and supplied with all required information from the Harrogate controllers
- Completion of the daily control reports and supply controllers with the required information to prioritise orders
- Completion of all other reports as requested by your line manager
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of third party and cross hire orders through to full completion and query resolution
- Provide holiday/absence controller cover where required
- Provide call cover where required
- Managing road tax renewal subscriptions
- When considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.

What We’re Looking For
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Proficient in verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook at an intermediate level
- Ability to problem solve
- Capacity for learning new skills/information quickly
