Company Description

True Group operates True Plant Hire Ltd, a plant and machinery hire company based near Loughborough, Leicestershire, serving customers across the UK. The business provides a wide range of equipment, including excavators (1–22 ton), telehandlers (4–20m), dumpers (1–9 ton), Bobcat skidsteers, lighting towers, and Unimogs. A variety of specialist attachments are also available, such as breakers, flail mulchers, post knockers, tree shears, grabs, and augers. The team is known for delivering friendly, helpful service and building long-term relationships with commercial and private clients.

Role Description

The Hire and Grab Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Wymeswold, responsible for coordinating hire bookings and grab services for customers across the UK. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Handling inbound hire and service enquiries
  • Preparing quotations
  • Confirming bookings
  • Scheduling machinery and grab lorries to meet customer timelines

The role involves liaising with drivers, operators, and the workshop to ensure equipment availability, safety checks, and timely deliveries and collections. The Coordinator will:

  • Maintain accurate records in hire management systems
  • Manage documentation
  • Support invoicing and basic account queries

This position also includes providing professional customer service via phone and email, resolving issues promptly, and supporting the wider team with general office and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to manage enquiries by phone and email in a clear, professional manner.
  • Experience in scheduling, coordination, or logistics, ideally within plant hire, construction, or a related field.
  • Good administrative and IT skills, including confident use of office software and digital booking or CRM systems.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records, preparing quotes, and supporting invoicing and documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Wymeswold, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of plant and machinery or willingness to learn about excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and attachments.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious approach and a collaborative mindset to support drivers, operators, and office colleagues.
  • Previous experience in a coordinator, hire desk, or operations support role is beneficial; relevant vocational or administrative qualifications are an advantage.
