Position Summary

Based in the Hire and Production department, this role involves developing new and existing customer relationships, quoting on new projects and responding to tenders. The successful candidate will delegate tasks to Internal Project Managers to ensure jobs are delivered effectively, and will visit and liaise with on-site staff at key points during the production period.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Seek and develop new business relationships and contacts; follow up new leads, focusing on sectors and areas outlined by the business.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, including attending relevant networking events.
  • Be a part of the organising team for the external company open day.
  • Respond in a timely fashion to invitations to tender (ITT), creating professional and thorough proposal documents for submission.
  • Be the overarching Account Manager for any special projects, ensuring budgets are adhered to, profit margins are maintained, and tasks are delegated through to the Production Managers for the delivery of the event.
  • Delegate smaller projects to the wider team, stepping back from smaller or quick-turnaround tasks to remain focused on more strategic, high-priority projects.
  • Provide general office telephone cover when required for hire, production, sales and install/vs due to planned or unplanned staff absence, passing on messages as applicable.
  • Provide content and assist with marketing and social media campaign planning and implementation.

About the candidate

  • Must have a good understanding of a wide range of technical production equipment and practise.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Have some experience of CAD package such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD or WYSIWYG (Desirable – Training available)

Employment will be conditional upon a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (due to our relationships with schools) along with satisfactory references.
