Job Introduction
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller with relevant experience to join our existing team here in Harrogate, providing customer service and help develop business by converting enquiries into hire business.
Key Responsibilities
- Quoting prices, taking orders and processing them through to completion, with the aim of increasing our customer base through proactive business development
- Liaising with the hire desk team and supporting our depot network and transport team to ensure that we exceed customer expectations and agreed service levels
- Developing strong relationships with our customers and our internal colleagues with specific responsibility for one of our depots
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company and work with some of the key players in the construction and house building industries.
What We’re Looking For
- Meticulous attention to detail and understanding of the importance of this – Essential
- Excellent customer service skills and a confident telephone manner – Essential
- Ability to communicate via email with good use of language
- Good understanding of customer requirements
- Ability to convert conversations into business opportunities
- Good use and experience of using various IT systems
- Knowledge of equipment – Desirable
- Experience of logistics/planning – Desirable
