Job Introduction

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised team player to join us as a Hire Controller at our Worksop depot. This is a fast-paced, office-based role where you’ll play a key part in delivering great service to our customers. You’ll be responsible for processing hire requests, coordinating with our depots and transport team, and ensuring equipment is delivered on time and to specification.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in getting the details right.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with potential and existing clients, offering services and providing quotations
  • Ensure all administration is always up to date
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Operate as a link between the Sales and Operational functions whilst coordinating hires
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections with transport and depot teams
  • Monitor equipment availability and manage scheduling to meet customer demand
  • Update and maintain accurate hire records, including hire extensions and off-hires
  • Assist with resolving equipment or service issues promptly and professionally

What We’re Looking For

  • Must have experience in sales or customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the phone
  • Customer focused approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of the hire industry would be beneficial, however full training will be provided on our products
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload under pressure
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
