Hire Controller
About the Role
The Hire Controller sits at the heart of a dynamic and fast-growing business, playing a vital role in driving revenue and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This position is responsible for managing customer enquiries, converting opportunities into orders, and coordinating equipment and logistics to ensure seamless delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound enquiries via phone and email, delivering outstanding customer service
- Follow structured sales processes to maximise conversion from enquiry to order
- Proactively follow up quotations and identify opportunities to secure business
- Make outbound calls to gather feedback and re-engage dormant opportunities
- Prepare quotations, hire agreements, and contracts aligned to customer requirements
- Source equipment via approved suppliers while maintaining margins and profitability
- Coordinate with operations to ensure equipment and transport availability
- Maintain clear communication across internal teams to deliver a “right first time” service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers

Key Requirements
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on revenue generation
- Customer-focused and proactive approach
- Experience handling inbound and outbound calls
- Excellent communication and telephone skills

- Previous sales experience
