About The Role
Based in Avonmouth, this full-time, permanent Hire Controller position offers a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am until 5:00pm, the successful candidate will join a busy team, acting as the primary point of contact for customers hiring equipment. Daily duties include processing orders, arranging transport, and ensuring every hire runs smoothly from start to finish. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, solid administrative ability, and a commitment to excellent service. About the Role
We are looking for a Hire Controller to join a busy team in Avonmouth.
This is a customer-focused role where you will deal with customers, organise equipment and make sure hires run smoothly from start to finish.
You don't necessarily need previous hire industry experience. We're looking for someone who is confident speaking to customers, organised and able to manage a busy workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with customers by phone, email and in person
- Taking hire enquiries and arranging equipment
- Managing bookings and ensuring equipment is available when required
- Organising deliveries and collections
- Processing hire paperwork and updating systems
- Dealing with customer queries and resolving issues
- Liaising with drivers, engineers and other departments
- Keeping customers updated throughout the hire process
- Helping to ensure the branch operates efficiently

About You
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confident speaking with customers
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Able to prioritise and manage a busy workload
- Comfortable using computer systems
- A positive, practical approach to problem solving
- Previous experience in customer service, hire, logistics, transport or a similar environment would be beneficial
