We’re looking for Hire Controllers with great customer service skills who thrive in a busy operational environment. In the role of Hire Controller, you’ll be responsible for delivering an excellent service to new and existing customers. Your days will be spent communicating with customers on the telephone, via email and responding to website requests. You’ll manage an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback. Building relationships with regular customers, you’ll enjoy thinking on your feet and using your initiative to ensure we deliver the very best experience for our customers and that we continue to improve our service. Striving to exceed our customers’ expectations and ensuring you deal with enquiries/issues promptly and satisfactorily.

The Main Responsibilities Of The Role Include

  • Liaising with new and existing clients on new business
  • Receiving incoming calls
  • Raising quotations, dealing with orders, and transport planning
  • Liaising with the service team to report any breakdowns
  • Ensuring that drivers are promptly dealt with or directed appropriately
  • Exceptional communication skills, you’ll have the ability to engage and build relationships with both external and internal customers.
