Job Title: Hire Desk Assistant
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire (CEMC - Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction)
Sponsorship: Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
About The Role
This role sits within our Select Plant Hire team and is focused on taking ownership of key administrative and operational processes that keep the function running smoothly.
The successful candidate will primarily manage processing of operated plant timesheets, raising hire contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely completion.
Alongside this, the role will provide ad hoc support to the hire desk, assisting with inbox management and customer queries when required.
This is a role that requires strong attention to detail and consistency, with the ability to prioritise effectively and switch between tasks when needed.
What will the role look like?
- Take ownership of processing operated plant timesheets, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Manage any outstanding operated plant timesheets, liaising with internal teams to resolve issues. Along with external suppliers.
- Provide additional support to the hire desk inbox during busy periods
- Handle incoming calls and queries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records and support general administrative processes
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth day to day operations
- Uphold health, safety and compliance standards at all times

What skills and experience are we looking for?
- Confident using systems and IT tools, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a role that involves repetitive or process driven tasks
- Able to manage own workload and switch between priorities when needed
- A resilient and reliable approach, with a willingness to take ownership
- Quick to pick up new tasks and processes
- Strong team fit and able to work well within a direct and fast moving environment
