Job Title - Hire Desk Manager
Location - Haydock
Working hours - Mon - Fri - 07:30 - 17:00

We’re looking for a Hire Desk Manager to lead and develop a team of Hire Controllers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, exceptional customer service, and strong commercial performance. You’ll play a key role in meeting budgeted targets, improving efficiency, and monitoring KPIs to drive operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strong leadership to Managers and direct employees, ensuring all aspects of performance and processes align with budgeted targets and expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate your team to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee the daily operations of the hire desk, ensuring a seamless process for our customers.
- Provide accurate reporting and information within agreed timeframes and deadlines for the General Manager.
- Achieve targets on reducing customer complaint levels and improving speed of resolution.
- Drive team performance, ensuring KPIs are met and service levels remain high.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service and efficiency.
- Support and contribute to our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

- Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate a team, securing buy-in from stakeholders.
- Strong coaching and development skills to enhance team performance.
- Previous management experience in a similar role.
- A customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering high-quality service.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience within the hire industry.
- A track record of improving departmental results and performance.
