Company Description

Aloe Studios London is a recording studio based in London, focused on collecting high-quality conversations to train and improve digital human technology. The studio offers opportunities for individuals to contribute directly to shaping more accurate and responsible AI technologies. Aloe Studios welcomes new participants, and no prior studio or AI experience is required. The environment is collaborative and social, giving people the chance to meet new peers while contributing to meaningful technology development and earning additional income.

Role Description

We’re looking for history experts to take part in an AI research study at our studio. We’re seeking experts across a broad range of historical fields and specialisms, including ancient, medieval, early modern and modern history, law, politics, economic history, archaeology and museum studies, as well as historians working in academia, education, research, archives and related fields.

As part of this research study, you will participate in up to 4 recording sessions, each lasting 3 hours, where you’ll join other experts for natural, unscripted conversations about your specialist knowledge, research and experience. You’ll share ideas, explain historical topics and methodologies, discuss sources, facts, dates and learn from other experts.

There’s no script or formal presentation required; we’re interested in capturing genuine, engaging conversations between knowledgeable professionals.

Qualifications

  • Fluent English speaker
  • Excellent conversational and communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking naturally and confidently on camera
  • Degree, Master’s, PhD, Doctorate or equivalent higher-level qualification
  • Academic or professional background in history, research, archaeology, heritage, museum studies, law, politics, archives or a related field
  • Strong knowledge and experience within your specialist area of history
  • Comfortable discussing ideas, interpretations and perspectives with other experts
  • Comfortable working with diverse participants and colleagues, maintaining a respectful, inclusive and safety-conscious environment
