Flexzo Teach | History Tutor (In-Person / Alternative Provision)

Exciting daytime teaching opportunities across Lytham, Blackpool, Preston, and Sheffield.

Flexzo Teach connects dedicated educators directly with high-impact learning providers. We are currently recruiting a passionate History Tutor to deliver tailored, daytime tuition for secondary-aged learners. Working primarily with council-commissioned Alternative Provision, this role focuses on supporting students with gaps in learning, SEND, and additional needs through structured, individualised instruction in home, community, and centre settings.

What you need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualifications in Humanities/History.
  • Experience delivering secondary History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong ability to adapt resources for learners with additional needs.
  • Daytime availability and willingness to travel across Lytham, Blackpool, Preston, or deliver within centre provision in Sheffield.
  • Comfort working in-home and in community settings.
  • Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Dedication to building student resilience, consistency, and academic confidence.
