Job Description
A Heating Installation Unit Engineer in the London area is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of heating technology, safety protocols, and compliance with local regulations. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities
- Install and commission heating systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This includes connecting pipes, wiring controls, and testing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of heating systems to ensure optimal performance and identify and address potential issues.
- Diagnose and repair heating system malfunctions, including replacing faulty components, valves, or pipes.
- Implement energy-efficient solutions and advise clients on ways to reduce energy consumption and costs.
- Ensure that all heating installations meet local safety regulations and industry standards. Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, equipment manuals, and parts inventory.
- Communicate with clients to assess their heating needs, provide cost estimates, and explain maintenance and repair options.

Qualifications
- Experience in heating system installation and maintenance. Experience with different types of heating systems, such as gas, electric, or renewable energy systems.
