Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Rainham, Kent

Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Rainham, Kent, from September 2026.

This is a full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys supporting pupils across a range of age groups. The successful candidate will work across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), delivering high-quality learning experiences, leading small group interventions, and covering classes when required.

The successful HLTA will:

  • Have previous experience working as a HLTA or in a similar role within a primary school.
  • Be confident supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2.
  • Have excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Be able to deliver planned lessons and support pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Work effectively as part of a dedicated and collaborative school team.
  • Be committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
