Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey within an educational community that values increasing opportunities, improving outcomes for our students. We are looking for a HLTA to join our team. Reporting to the PLC Manager you will undertake:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Personal Learning Centre (PLC).
- Deliver learning activities and teaching sessions to small groups and individual students.
- Plan and prepare targeted interventions to support student progress.
- Support students with social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs.
- Work closely with the PLC Manager and wider school staff to meet individual student needs.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and external agencies.
- Monitor student engagement, attendance and wellbeing.
- Promote inclusion and help students successfully reintegrate into mainstream school where appropriate.

Pay range: Grade 6 SCP 15-23
Qualifications and Skills:
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working at Higher Level Teaching Assistant level.
- Relevant safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training).
- First Aid qualification desirable.
- Experience of working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with social, emotional, behavioural or learning needs.
- Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities and interventions. Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to motivate, engage and inspire young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of working collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external agencies.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor student progress.
- Resilient, adaptable and committed to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all students.
