Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Bexley
Start Date: October 2026
Hours: Full-time
Phase: KS1 & KS2

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Bexley from October 2026. The successful candidate will be confident working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and able to adapt their approach to support pupils in a variety of settings. You should be comfortable working 1:1 with individual pupils, with small or larger groups, and leading whole-class learning when required.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold relevant HLTA experience or qualifications.
  • Have experience working across KS1 and/or KS2.
  • Be confident supporting pupils 1:1, in groups and across whole-class settings.
  • Be flexible, enthusiastic and able to adapt to different needs.
  • Have strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be committed to supporting pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing.
  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS.
